the art of linda sheets
Linda Sheets has been creating art, in one form or another, for most of her life. While her style is truly her own, her collages, free-form furniture, and found object constructions are reminiscent of Joseph Cornell and Louise Nevelson, with a healthy dash of folk art aesthetic. But it is her innovative approach to scratchboard as a medium that has set Linda in a class all her own. Her work can be seen in galleries, shows, and private collections around the country and was recently used to decorate the walls of the main characters home in the ABC drama "The Lying Game."
This site houses an archive of Linda's earlier work and serves as a jumping off point for her Scratching Through blog (see below), which features images of current work. See something you like? Dreaming of a subject you don't see? Linda is available for commissions and will be happy to work with you to create a unique work that fits both your budget and aesthetic sensibilities.
